Eye catching 1950’s Swiss Delbana Calendario wristwatch with triple date (day-month-date). In this case, the triple date functions can easily be reset with the ‘quick date set’, which simply means you can change the calendar dates with the small inner-pushers in combination with the crown.

The company Delbana was founded in 1933 in Grenchen, Switzerland, by an immigrant from San Marino, Goliardo Della Baldoy. In the 1950s, Delbana's main market was South America. This might explain the “Calendario” which means calendar but written calendario in the Italian and Spanish language.

The Swiss made manual wind movement inside is a caliber ETA 1164. Mechanical manual wind movements need to be fully winded once a day before strapping the watch around your wrist. A fully wound spring creates a steady pressure to the movement and therefore optimizing the accuracy. This might sound a tad childish to point out, but newcomers in the ‘vintage watch circle’ who are used to battery operated watches tend to forget this aspect.

The watch is a whooping 35.5mm in diameter. The dial shows some slight sights of age, but overall in a great vintage condition. The case looks gorgeous, as if it’s been freshly given a new gold layer, you can almost see the warm gold fluid dripping off the case
