This sleek 1960’s Movado is carrying a stunning pink-gilded 600 caliber automatic movement inside, Tempo-Matic, is a name invented by Movado for a certain type of automatic which in this case is based on the ETA 2471 caliber. Movado clearly gave the movement their own distinctive signature with the remarkable M-shaped Movado logo automatic rotor.

The original dial has a satin finish and is in an amazing condition, the glossy fine-line indexes have tiny luminous dots on the ends. The baton shape hands also have a small section with luminous.

The stainless steel case is in a great condition, unpolished/as found. And the original crown carries the M-logo as well.  

Besides the obvious engraving ‘George Dyer 11-14-69. I wonder, could this have been a gift from his admirer Francis Bacon’s, the dates pretty much add up, it all sounds rather intriguing. https://medium.com/@apitargue/francis-bacon-and-the-art-of-a-dark-portrait-2a916697c471 

The small less distinctive engraving you see underneath reads: ‘Sub Sea’ which was a term used by the Movado factories on a range of water-resistant models.
