Charles-Félicien Tissot was a Swiss watchmaker, who founded the watch brand Tissot in 1853 with his son Charles-Émile Tissot in the district of the Canton of Neuchâtel, Switzerland, to be exact in ‘Le Locle’. Besides manufacturing watches, Tissot also produced spare parts and tools.
The Tissot at hand is unmistakably from the 1940’s and in this case, it is an export model, which means the movement and dial are Swiss made and where exported to England where the Tissot watch was ensembled with a Dennison watch case, manufactured in England.
The gorgeous two-tone dial is smoky grey and black with gold color indexes. The luminous filled hands are impeccable.
The playfully alined numbers have slight radium burn.
The watch sits really comfy on your wrist due to it being relatively flat. Serviced, unpolished and all original, except for the new watch strap obviously.
