Available today is this Mido Multifort Superautomatic Powerwind, quite a mouthful, but let there be no question about it, the movement is utterly impressing.
Kind of weird though, it has a sub second which suggests a1940’s early 50’s watch, but on the other hand it carries a non-bumper automatic caliber 916R, you would expect a bumper automatic.
I ‘m guessing the watch was manufactured on the point of transition from the use of bumper to non-bumper automatics. A non-bumper automatic movement roles all the way round instead of bumping into tiny springs half way round.
By the way, the R stands for extra quality movement which is a nice bonus.
Good size watch, not to big, not to small, superb quality automatic and a stainless-steel casing, this could make someone, maybe you a great day to day watch.
We added a dark blue Nato strap, and I hear you thinking, not again, but bear with me, these straps are strong, durable, washable and easy to exchange and they come in an array of colors.
