The couple, Eugene Blum and Alice Levy founded the Swiss brand Ebel in 1911. The name was created by combining their Initials. They pioneered many milestones in horological history. During the World War II Ebel they supplied watches to the British Royal Air Force to aid pilots in their air missions throughout Europe.
The handsome gentleman’s Ebel at hand today is great size 35 mm. watch with a good quality automatic AS 1298 caliber movement. The case is unpolished (as most prefer nowadays) so the slight signs of age remain visible. The time on the Ebel had stood still at some point in time, which resulted in minimal radium-burn at the 3 o’clock.
