The Mulco watch brand was a very prestigious brand that according to Mulco history arose in 1958 by Mr. Muller & Co. Though this date is rather questionable because there are ads from the Mulco brand dating from 1939. The Swiss Mulco brand was highly competitive, they offered an arrange of smashing watches. Hence this handsome stainless steel Mulco watch with lovely shaped raised lugs. The yummy chocolate colored two tone dial has aged beautifully, though at some stage the hands have been in a fixed position, slight radium-burns.
The Swiss AS (Anton Schild, is a large movement manufacture used by many watch brands) 1188 caliber movement inside is a 13 ligne/13’’’(ligne/size 13’’’= 29,33 mm) and is a so called "Wehrmachtswerk", which meant a high-quality movement with a certain durability to withstand shocks besides being waterproof and anti-magnetic like many other brands. These movements were also equipped with unbreakable mainspring and a monometallic screw balance. The spring was made of a white metal alloy tougher than the blued steel ones that were commonly used.
The watch and movement were joined together as some stage, but in this case they both enhance the watch, so in other words;
