The Eterna-Matic was considered the ultimate achievement of The Swiss brand Eterna.
The Eterna-Matic movement caliber 1412U was launch in 1953, this self-winding mechanism uses five strategically placed ball bearings in order to reduce the friction and resistance on the oscillating disk that winds the movement. This brilliant engineering was designed to reduce wear and make the movement more accurate.
Let’s be honest, who doesn’t want a watch that Is winds up silently while you go about your chores ツ
The logo with five raised balls on the dial and on the semi-recessed crown indicate the five ball bearings used in the movement.
In addition to the five-ball logo, the dial has another striking feature: the V at the 12 o'clock.
The stainless steel case has a faceted bezel and lugs, giving it a sleek, fine lined appearance. With its 35 mm the case is a good size that will suit many a whist.
Keep in mind that the dial looks much more yellowish in the photos (due to the grey colored background) in reality it is an ivory shade.
The Eterna-Matic is all original and unpolished.
We attached an 18mm grey canvas animal-friendly strap with a fine stainless steel buckle.
