Practically unimaginable to comprehend that the birth of LeCoultre began in a barn, in the midst of Vallée de Joux, Switzerland. Antoine LeCoultre transformed the barn into a state of the art watchmakers atelier, at a later date “Grande Maison” was created where all the magic took place.  
His passion was not only to developed the highest quality movements with the utmost precision, but he also invented and refined the tools to create his craftsmanship. One could go so far as to say he was madly obsessed with accuracy. One of his genius inventions was the millionometre, which could measure ‘itsy bitsy teeny weenie’ microns.   

The second birth that took place when Jaeger met LeCoultre, in 1903. The Parisian Edmond Jaeger, also a famous watchmaker and inventor as Jacques-David LeCoultre himself, joint efforts to combine the exquisite French taste for design with the Swiss perfection in timepieces, they became close friends and from 1937 ‘Jaeger-LeCoultre’ was born, and the rest is history ツ

 If ‘itsy bitsy teeny weenie’ is what you are looking for look no further. With its, 18.5mm diameter, however don’t underestimate the large lugs, which remind me of the owl ears (Asio otus).
Inside you find the well-known utterly reliable Swiss Jaeger met LeCoultre movement cal. 490/B, with a beautiful Geneva stripe finish and a regulator with an extra enhanced ring to protect the balance wheel underneath.  
After the full overhaul we reattached the strap, that was attached when we found it, original tag is still in place.
This ‘Jaeger met LeCoultre’ is a petite stunner, and could very well function as glamours evening watch and as an everyday watch at the same time.
