Angelus Launched the Chronodate Triple Date Chronograph in 1942, as the very first Chronograph with calendar. A year later they changed the name Chronodate to Chronodato, whilst this model became their foremost best seller. Not surprisingly though I mean to have it all, in one package is pretty amazing. Plus, it’s big, it has loads of functions and it has fine clear symmetrical well-balanced dial that reads easily at one glance.
It gives you the time, a stopwatch, a date, the month, hence ‘Triple Date’. And all this magical technology is wrapped in a stunning stainless steel case with elongated facetted lugs. The Angelus Chronodato Triple Date Chronograph was once a well-kept secret amongst the canny collectors and now a very sought after Chronograph watch, mainly to do everything mentioned here, size and amount of functions available etc.
The in-house manual wind movement Angelus caliber 217 is such high quality complicated mechanism. The 45-minute chronograph is operated by the pushers on the right, to operate other functions such as the red-tipped date arrow, the day of the week and month you use the thumbnail quick set ability, these small integrated mini pushers at situated the 12:30, 6:30 and the 9, well the 9 o’clock pusher actually has a double function, it not only sets the date but also the day.
Few watches can match its case size, timeless design and quality of manufacture.
All original, freshly serviced and ready to wear.
