The warm copper/black two-tone dial is the most striking element of this 1940’s Loninges wristwatch. Second is the very well preserved 23.M caliber manual wind movement, which was introduced in 1939. In actuality the 23.M caliber stems from the 23 caliber and both derived from their precursor, caliber 10.68Z. Rather unusual to find this caliber in a stainless-steel casing, this caliber was used more frequent in the dressier models, often gold watches.
According to certain info I found, this movement would be less sensitive to humidity, yet I can find no evidence to support this claim. So as usual with all vintage watches, keep them clear from humidity, water and moist of any kind.
For the countries who celebrate Mother's Day tomorrow we hope you enjoy a lovely day, thou I think this could be extended to pet mom’s too and why not spoil them all year round
